Report: Canada’s Downstream Logistical Infrastructure

Posted on: Wednesday, December 13th, 2017

In 2007, MJ Ervin & Associates published a report detailing the logistical infrastructure associated with the manufacture, storage, transportation and consumption of petroleum products. In the intervening years (now the Kent Group) there have had numerous expressions of interest in seeing an update to that report. We are pleased to announce that an update to that report is now available.

The report is available to read or download in full using the following link:Report-Overview of Canada’s Logistical Infrastructure

Our report was developed with the involvement and support of Natural Resources Canada and the Canadian Fuels Association, who have now approved it for public release. It is in part a catalogue of facilities, but it also serves to provide a better understanding of the multifaceted systems and processes involved in getting petroleum products from the point of manufacture to the customer’s gas tank. Similarly, the report addresses more recently introduced inputs relating to biofuel production, shipping, blending and storage.

All data in this report is current as of December 31st, 2016.
